"WOW" Benefit
Set for October 2-4, 2009
Clear Group, in association with The Delamar Hotel in Greenwich, Connecticut, and Moffly Media, is proud to announce Walk on Water Benefit 2009. Walk On Water is a personal initiative by Joyce Clear dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Spinal Research and Shake-A-Leg: the former focusing on finding a cure for paralysis and the latter focusing on adaptive sailing programs so individuals in wheelchairs can experience the joy and excitement of sailing as well as the therapeutic benefits it offers their souls.
The WOW 2009 event at The Delamar Hotel is in honor of two
of Joyce’s special friends who have had an amazing impact
on her life:

Kelly Ballo Moss, her college roommate,
who at the age of 40 was in a jeep accident while in Africa.
Kelly’s
spinal cord was severed, rendering her a quadriplegic.

Elsa
Johnson was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder causing
her to lose sensation and partial function of her lower
legs and arms, and relies on a wheelchair in her daily
life.
Kelly’s and Elsa’s courage and strength to overcome
adversity and physical barriers are unending sources of inspiration.
They live full, active lives and are never limited by fear
or risk, spirit or integrity. We invite you to learn more
about this amazing event that will raise money and awareness
for two outstanding causes.
